Our Reviews

“We lived in our house whilst DB Renovations undertook a first-floor extension, loft conversation and remodel. From the tender process to final sign off, DB Renovations guided us through with patience, professionalism and consideration. They spent time understanding what we wanted from the build and supported us during the bumps in the road which inevitably come when undertaking such a project - they didn't think we were crazy for living in and went above and beyond to ensure we could, with kitchen and bathroom facilities kept running throughout. Their quote was accurate and their work is high end. The contractors DB Renovations used are also exceptional - they only use people they trust, and this shows as timeframes were kept and snagging was minimal. One year on we are still incredibly happy with the finish and workmanship - we would recommend DB Renovations without hesitation. Thank you Sarah, Dom and the wider team!”

"DB Renovations completed a building project for us. They opened up the kitchen and dining room and created a new utility room from part of the garage. They were fantastic. The team was punctual, professional and so friendly. I was quite nervous about the project but it was brilliant as Sarah was on hand to guide me through the process step by step ensuring I was ready with decisions in plenty of time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them as they did a fabulous job and I would certainly use them again. Thank you DB Renovations!"

"DB Renovations did a fantastic job transforming our house into our dream home, by doing a double story wrap plus rear extension. We had not done a big build before, but Sarah guided us through the process brilliantly. Dom and the team are a pleasure to work with they're friendly, professional and paid great attention to detail. We are so pleased with our build and I would highly recommend DB Renovations to everyone!"

"We highly recommend DB Renovations. They converted the attic of our 3-storey townhouse into a fourth-floor lounge with large sun windows. DB Renovations acted as project managers for all their different craftsmen. They also dealt with the council’s regulatory requirements on our behalf. There were no nasty surprises - no hidden price rises, no botched jobs, minimal mess, and no upset neighbours. The project finished on time and we are delighted by the result. Many thanks DB Renovations, you did a great job."

"I would highly recommend Sarah, Dom and their team. We recently had our extension knocked down and re-built, a full reconfiguration of the downstairs and our terraced garden levelled with a retaining wall. We lived in whilst the work was done and everything was done to accommodate this. All of the team were friendly and dedicated to their work. Sarah managed the project, scheduling all the trades and materials to fit the project timescales. She was clear on costs and what they entailed. Dom and his team worked to a high standard and adapted to any challenges thrown up "underground" or by the building. We are really pleased with the finished house both inside and out."

“We could not be happier with the work DB Renovations did for us. From start to finish, the entire team was exceptionally knowledgeable, professional and great to work with.

DB Renovations completed a full renovation of our house – including a ground floor extension, reconfiguration of the floor plan, new loft room, new roof, new windows, doors, electrics, plumbing, flooring, bathrooms and kitchen. Outside they organised a new patio and fencing as well. One phone call to Sarah was all we needed to get the design and build organised; Sarah found us a fantastic local architect and we went on from there.

Navigating a major building project could have easily been overwhelming, but Sarah’s organisation and project management made the entire process really smooth. Thanks to her forward planning, we were never rushed to make key decisions. Communication was excellent throughout—we always knew exactly what was happening and when.

Dom’s practical expertise was invaluable when it came to making decisions. He brought huge positive energy to the site, clearly took real pride in the work, and he was straightforward and easy to deal with every step of the way.

Everyone involved in the project—Ben, Josh, Andy and everyone else on the team —were fantastic. They were always happy to take the time to explain what was happening and keep us in the loop. The trades people were great as well - It is clear DB Renovations only work with the best people, and we really enjoyed talking through the progress, what was going on and what was happening next.

Overall, the project was fantastically well-organised, completed right on time, and came in on budget with zero surprises. The quality of the work is outstanding, down to every last detail. Even after completion, DB Renovations' after-care has been fantastic.

We highly recommend DB Renovations to anyone looking for high-quality work and a stress-free build! Thank you to everyone involved for building us a wonderful home. We love it.”

"We had a really positive experience with Sarah and Dom at DB Renovations, for our medium sized project.  Not only did we complete on time and on budget - practically unheard of these days - but the way they went about things, and showed that they genuinely cared about a positive outcome, was really pleasing.  This extended to an appreciation that we have young kids and a dog, and we always felt they were taken into consideration.  The whole team, including sub-contractors, were driven by quality and customer satisfaction, and we were delighted with the end product.  Would thoroughly recommend!"

"I moved to St Albans and needed building works done on our new house. I found Dom, Sarah and team by chance
and feel so lucky I did. They moved my kitchen down a floor, knocked walls through and put in two bathrooms. I was on my own with 2 small children and having workmen in the house as well could have been difficult but they were all brilliant. They were lovely with my boys, incredibly clean and tidy, highly professional and did an outstanding job. When the initial budget came up a bit high there was no problem at all and we worked together to find a way to bring it down without compromising on the design. I'm so pleased with the outcome and would recommend Dom, Sarah and the team very highly - I cannot believe you could find anyone better."

"DB Renovations have just finished our extension and we could not be happier. Their team have really worked hard on a tight budget and have completed a brilliant project and their trades have been great. Sarah and Dom work well together, Sarah keeping me at ease and Dom and his team have been great to have around."
