We worked with local architect Sheldon Peever Studio to remodel this spacious detached house in St Albans, giving it a fresh new look that will stand the test of time.
Our expert construction team built a single-storey rear extension to replace the outdated conservatory, and converted the unused loft into a stylish and practical living space with rear dormer and rooflights.
New side openings, a refurbished front porch canopy, new external wall insulation with rendered finish, brand-new timber windows, and Crittall-style aluminium doors completed the top-to-toe structural works.
The external renovation included a new patio and fencing, as well as GreenCoat metal cladding finish for the rear extension, including the surround of the dormer.
Working with reliable local contractors and suppliers, we also conducted a full internal renovation, replaced the boiler system, and installed Ambiente underfloor heating on all three floors. This new heating system is future-proofed for transition to Air Source Heat Pumps, ensuring minimal stress.
The entire remodel was complete in twelve months. Due to the scale of works, our clients had to live off-site for a period – but they were able to move back in for Christmas, exactly as promised.
